These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Vedhik Cosmos for use of the Dodmansa Platform (https://dodmansa.in), including the mobile app, website, rentals, and fan community.
By registering, browsing, renting, or posting, you accept these Terms together with the Privacy Policy, Rental Terms, Refund Policy, Copyright Policy, Content Policy, Community Guidelines, and Cookie Policy.
1. The service
Dodmansa is an official OTT and fan-community Platform for the film Dodmansa (ದೊಡ್ಮನ್ಸ), produced under Vedhik Cosmos. We offer:
- Free promotional content such as trailers, selected media, news, gallery, and cast information, as published from time to time
- Paid, time-limited digital rental of the full movie
- Fan clubs, discussions, chats, polls, events, and user-generated media, subject to moderation
Features may change, be geo-restricted, or be taken down for licensing, technical, or legal reasons.
2. Eligibility and account
- You must be 18 years or older to create an account and to pay for a rental.
- You must provide accurate name, email, and mobile number and keep them updated.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not share your password or OTP.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that are abusive, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms.
- One person should not create multiple accounts to evade bans, abuse coupons, or manipulate ratings.
3. Licence to use the Platform
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for lawful personal entertainment. You may not:
- Copy, download (except where we expressly provide an official app installer), rip, record, or redistribute the film or other video
- Circumvent DRM, streaming tokens, geo or device checks, or rental expiry
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our servers
- Use the Platform for commercial public performance (theatres, halls, paid screenings) without a separate licence
- Frame or misrepresent Dodmansa or Vedhik Cosmos content as your own
4. Paid rentals
Full-movie access is sold as a rental, not a subscription and not a sale of a copy. Price, duration (for example 48 hours or 7 days), GST, and coupons are shown at checkout. Rental access starts when payment is confirmed and ends automatically at expiry. Details are in the Rental Terms and Refund Policy.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. You authorise us and Razorpay to charge the selected method. GST at the applicable rate (currently 18% on digital entertainment services unless the law changes) is added where the checkout shows it. Failed, cancelled, or pending payments do not grant viewing rights.
6. User content
You retain ownership of text, images, and other content you post. You grant Vedhik Cosmos a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, moderate, and distribute that content on the Platform so the community features can work. You must only post content you have the right to share. We may remove content or restrict accounts under our Content Policy and Community Guidelines.
7. Fan community
Clubs, chats, and events are provided as-is. Other users’ views are their own. We moderate at our discretion and are not obliged to pre-screen every post. Use block, mute, and report tools, and contact Support for serious issues.
8. Intellectual property
The film Dodmansa, title, characters, music, artwork, logos, trailers, and the Dodmansa software are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. See the Copyright Policy. Unauthorised use may lead to civil and criminal action under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
9. Third-party services
YouTube embeds, Razorpay, Firebase, app stores, and social links are governed by those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites you open from the Platform.
10. Availability
Streaming quality depends on your internet connection and device. We may perform maintenance, and we may limit devices or concurrent streams to protect the service. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Vedhik Cosmos is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, lost profits, or data loss. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to a paid rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Vedhik Cosmos and its producers, directors, cast, and staff against claims arising from your misuse of the Platform, your user content, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend streaming, community access, or the whole account if we reasonably believe there is piracy, payment fraud, harassment, illegal content, or a security risk. You may stop using the Platform at any time and request account closure via Support. Fees already paid for elapsed or consumed rentals are handled under the Refund Policy.
15. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date will be revised. If you continue to use the Platform after changes take effect, you accept the new Terms.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer-forum rights that apply to you as a consumer.
